The Office of the Public Service Commissioner
The Office of the Public Service Commissioner (OPSC) is headed by the Public Service Commissioner who reports directly to the Premier on matters relating to the public service. The OPSC advises the government and gives effect to its policies as the employer of the public service.
We establish procedures:
- to ensure that appointments to the public service are made on the basis of merit
- to affirm and support the integrity of public service management processes, and
- that build quality workplaces where employees are treated fairly and reasonably and encouraged to develop their skills.
We work with government agencies to assist them to put in place a workforce that will achieve their objectives in the delivery of services to the people of Queensland.
For more information, our annual reports are available in our Resources area.
