Practical People Management (PPM)
The Practical People Management (PPM) program aims to provide all levels of managers and supervisors in the Queensland public service with practical skills to manage people effectively.
The program is relevant to the workplace - now - and recognises the importance of the public service manager's role.
Developed as part of the whole-of-government 'Safer Workplaces' framework, PPM is designed to:
- develop people management skills, strategies and practices and build confidence in applying these in the workplace
- improve workplace culture, and
- increase staff satisfaction.
This program is suitable for all Queensland Government managers, new and experienced.
PPM can be delivered to your agency in a variety of ways:

1. Supplier arrangement
- cross-agency - generic programs for individuals from multiple agencies, or
- in-house in your agency.

staff, working with effective people managers in your agency.
