On 1 July 2008 the Public Service Act 2008 came into effect and the Public Service Act 1996 and the Service Delivery and Performance Commission Act 2005 were repealed.
On that date the Public Service Commission was established while the "Office of the Public Service Commissioner" and the "Service Delivery and Performance Commission" were abolished.
The Commission is a modern, efficient, responsive and independent organisation and its two key functions are:

The Public Service Commission website at www.psc.qld.gov.au is under development. During this development period, the websites of the former Office of the Public Service Commissioner and the Service Delivery and Performance Commission will remain accessible.
